Brighton & Hove Albion are aiming to attract a bumper crowd at our final home FA Women’s Super League match of the season against Arsenal, which will now take place at the American Express Community Stadium on Sunday 28th April, kick-off 12.15pm.
With huge crowds turning out for women’s matches across Europe in recent weeks, Albion are asking fans to show their support for the women’s team in a huge match against the title-chasing Gunners.
General sale tickets are available at £3 for adults and £1 for under-18s and over 65s.
To help encourage fans to attend, all season-ticket holders at the Amex will be able to claim TWO FREE tickets, enabling supporters to bring a guest to the match.
In addition, all FAWSL season-ticket holders will be able to claim FIVE FREE tickets, in addition to their own ticket, to bring friends and family to enjoy the match.
Please note that both offers for season-ticket holders must be redeemed in advance by 5pm on Wednesday 24th April.
The record crowd for a domestic league or cup fixture in England is 45,423 when Arsenal and Chelsea met in last season’s FA Cup Final. In Spain a crowd of 60,739 turned out for Atletico Madrid’s match with Barcelona, while in Italy, Juventus attracted a capacity 39,000 crowd for their 1-0 win over Fiorentina.
Albion coach Hope Powell said, “It would be fantastic for the team, after securing their WSL status for next season, to play in front of a big crowd. It has been a tough first season at this level, but the girls have learned a lot, and it would be a great way to sign off the season, here at the Amex, in front of a big home support.”
The match will also be shown live on BT Sport, marking the second occasion a women’s team home match has been selected for coverage by the broadcaster.
Supporters are also advised that prices on the day of the match will increase to £5 for adults and £2 for under-18s and over-65s.
Seagull Travel will be providing free coach travel on a limited basis to the Amex, with various pick-up points across East and West Sussex. Once the allocation has been filled, other coaches may be confirmed, subject to demand.
Tickets will be available to purchase at BrightonAndHoveAlbion.com/tickets from 9am on Thursday 4th April via the club's ticket site using the print-at-home facility or from 2pm via the Albion Booking Line on 0844 327 1901 (calls to this number are charged at seven pence per minute plus your network access charge).
