The Week Ahead: Pl2, Premier League And Fawsl Action

By James Hilsum • 15 April 2019

There are four games for Brighton & Hove Albion teams this week, starting tonight with the under-23s’ top-of-the-table clash against Everton at Goodison Park.

MONDAY 15TH APRIL: EVERTON UNDER-23S V ALBION UNDER-23S, KICK-OFF 7PM

Simon Rusk’s side play their penultimate match of the season against Premier League 2 Division 1 leaders Everton, as the race for the league title almost reaches its conclusion.

Anything other than a defeat for the Seagulls will ensure the battle for top spot goes to the final game of the season.

A win for Rusk’s team would move them level on points with the Toffees, but Rusk’s team currently find themselves five goals behind the league leaders on goal difference, after an eight-match unbeaten streak in the PL2.

Albion fans can secure free tickets for tonight’s game, which can be booked in advance on Everton’s website. Supporters will be seated in the Park Stand for  tonight’s match.

TUESDAY 16TH APRIL: ALBION V CARDIFF CITY, KICK-OFF 7.45PM

Albion return to the Amex for the second time in the space of four days for the visit of Cardiff City.

Neil Warnock’s side currently occupy the final relegation space and sit five points behind the Seagulls, in what could be a pivotal match in the race for Premier League survival.

Chris Hughton’s men will be aiming to bounce back after a 5-0 defeat to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, while the Bluebirds also head into the game on the back of a loss, as they were beaten 2-0 by Burnley at Turf Moor.

Tickets are available on general sale for Tuesday’s game, with prices starting from £30 for adults, £23 for over-65s/under-21s and £15 for under-18s.

SATURDAY 20TH APRIL: READING WOMEN V ALBION WOMEN, KICK-OFF 1PM

The first of two games involving Albion sides on Saturday takes place at the Madejski Stadium, when Hope Powell’s team take on Reading.

It will be the first FA Women’s Super League match in over a month for the Seagulls, who have now secured their top-flight safety following Yeovil Town’s ten-point deduction for entering administration.
