Brighton & Hove Albion’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final HQ at Boxpark has now sold out, and as a thank you to supporters, the club in partnership with American Express will offer a free refreshment to the first 1,000 people through the doors!
Approximately 2,500 Albion fans, directors, staff, sponsors and guests will be in attendance inside the venue ahead of Saturday’s game.
Albion chief executive and deputy chairman Paul Barber said, “It is great news that we have managed to sell out the Boxpark venue.
“Saturday will be such a memorable occasion for everyone concerned with the football club regardless of the result, and I am very much looking forward to seeing the club’s directors, staff, players, friends and families, sponsors and commercial partners together with a large number of our fans all in one place on the day.
“The thinking behind hiring Boxpark was with this in mind, and selling out the venue shows how far we have come as a football club.”
The venue opens at 11am and those inside the venue on the day will be able to whet their appetite for Saturday’s big game by reliving the legendary 1983 cup run, and listen to interviews with a number of club legends, including: Gordon Smith, Alan Mullery, Andy Rollings, Dean Wilkins, Stuart Storer, Guy Butters and Steve Sidwell.
Chairman Tony Bloom will take part in a Q+A ahead of the big kick-off at 1pm, while Skint Records DJ Andy Mac is going to perform a live set before the game.
The festivities continue at full time, with Jason Hayward, aka Phats of Phats & Small fame, set to perform once the match has concluded, as fans will be allowed to stay in the venue until 11pm.
Those fans that have missed out on tickets for Albion’s HQ, can take advantage of a free outdoor fan zone at Wembley Park.
This includes a full Budweiser bar and a number of hot street food options, and supporters will be able to enter the space on production of their match tickets.
The fan zone opens at 10am and closes an hour before kick-off, giving supporters plenty of time to head to Wembley Stadium ahead of the game.
