Bloom's Call For Support Ahead Of Wsl Clash At The Amex

By Paul Camillin • 22 April 2019

Brighton & Hove Albion chairman Tony Bloom has called on fans to show their support for the club’s women’s team ahead of Sunday’s penultimate FA Women’s Super League match of the season against Arsenal at the Amex.

In an open letter to season-ticket holders, he said, “This season has seen Brighton & Hove Albion compete at the highest level of elite professional women’s football for the first time in our history.

“In our first season in The FA Women’s Super League, we have already secured top-flight football for next season and continue to be competitive against the top women’s teams in the country, in Europe’s first fully-professional women’s football league.

“We hope fans will be able to join us at the Amex for what we hope will be a great afternoon of elite women’s football.”

In this World Cup year, there has been huge momentum building in the women’s game, not least Atlético Madrid having an attendance of 60,739 at the Wanda Metropolitano for their fixture against Barcelona in March.

Albion’s final home match of the Women’s Super League season sees Arsenal visiting, knowing a victory will clinch the title for them.

General sale tickets are available at £3 for adults and £1 for under-18s and over 65s. Supporters are also advised that prices on the day of the match will increase to £5 for adults and £2 for under-18s and over-65s.

Tickets are available to purchase now at BrightonAndHoveAlbion.com/tickets via the club's ticket site using the print-at-home facility or from the Albion Booking Line on 0844 327 1901 (calls to this number are charged at seven pence per minute plus your network access charge).

There is a £1.50 per ticket booking fee for telephone and in-person sales, while an additional charge of £1 per ticket applies to online purchases where tickets are collected. Online tickets bought through print-at-home are exempt from booking fees.

To help encourage fans to attend, all season-ticket holders at the Amex will be able to claim TWO FREE tickets, enabling supporters to bring a guest to the match.

In addition, all FAWSL season-ticket holders will be able to claim FIVE FREE tickets, in addition to their own ticket, to bring friends and family to enjoy the match.

Please note that both offers for season-ticket holders must be redeemed in advance by 5pm on Wednesday 24th April.

Albion are also hosts for England’s World Cup warm up fixture against New Zealand at the Amex on Saturday 1st June.

That will be the final home friendly for the Lionesses before heading to the World Cup in France, in which they are among the favourites to win the tournament.
