Albion To Offer Paper Carrier Bags

By James Hilsum • 21 September 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion have taken a big step towards reducing the club’s use of plastic, by offering paper carrier bags free of charge in the Stadium Superstore.

The club will now remove the five pence plastic carrier bags, and instead offer a more environmentally-friendly option.

Albion retail manager Claire Britton said, “We are delighted to be able to take this big step in helping to decrease the amount of plastic we use.

“We felt that it was important to make this change, and show our commitment towards helping the environment.

“We will also work with our merchandise suppliers and find ways to limit our plastic usage even more.”

The paper bags will be introduced ahead of the Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
