Alireza Jahanbakhsh was on target for Iran against Syria.
Brighton & Hove Albion trio Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Percy Tau and Tomer Hemed were all on the scoresheet for their respective countries in the latest round of international fixtures.
Jahanbakhsh was on target for Iran in their 2-1 friendly victory over Bolivia at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran last night, as he fired home from close range.
Hemed found the net in a 2-0 UEFA Nations League win over Albania, and both he and Beram Kayal featured in that victory as well as the 2-1 victory over Scotland in the same competition.
Percy Tau
Tau found the net for South Africa in an emphatic 6-0 win over Seychelles in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday, before playing the full 90 minutes in a goalless draw against the same nation on Tuesday night.
Elsewhere, Shane Duffy played the full 90 minutes of the Republic of Ireland’s UEFA Nations League draw with Denmark on Saturday, before breaking Albion’s international appearance record in the 1-0 defeat against Wales on Tuesday.
 Lewis Dunk
Lewis Dunk was an unused substitute in England’s UEFA Nations League matches away against Croatia and Spain, as Gareth Southgate’s side claimed four points from the two games, following a goalless draw in Rijeka and a 3-2 victory in Seville.
Leon Balogun gained two more caps for Nigeria in their African Cup of Nations double header over Libya, as the Super Eagles claimed 4-0 and 3-2 wins respectively.
Yves Bissouma was also in African Cup of Nations action for Mali, featuring for just under an hour of their 1-0 win over Malawi, but was not included in the squad for the reverse fixture as the two sides drew 0-0.
Gaetan Bong was not involved in either of Cameroon's two qualifiers against Malawi, as Clarence Seedorf’s side claimed a 1-0 win and goalless draw in their African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Haydon Roberts
A number of Albion’s academy and under-23 players were also in action for their respective countries, with Haydon Roberts scoring for England’s under-17s in a 3-1 victory over the USA as part of a friendly tournament held in Telford.
Viktor Gyokeres scored a brace for Sweden’s under-20s in their 3-1 friendly win over Denmark, before finding the target again in a 1-1 draw with Russia.
Hugo Keto, Anders Dreyer and Stefan Ljubicic were also away with the Finland, Denmark and Iceland under-21 sides respectively, while Peter Gwargis and Lorent Tolaj were away with the Sweden under-19s and Switzerland under-18s.
