DOUBLE PFA AWARD NOMINATION FOR ALBION

2 November 2018

PFA

Brighton & Hove Albion duo Maty Ryan and Shane Duffy have both been nominated for the PFA Bristol Street Motors Player of the Month award for October.

The pair were instrumental in the side’s form last month, which saw three consecutive top-flight victories for the first time since 1981 – all by a 1-0 scoreline.

Glenn Murray’s first-half strike gave Albion a victory over West Ham United at the Amex Stadium, before Beram Kayal’s deflected effort achieved another three points at St James’ Park against Newcastle United a fortnight later.

Last weekend, Murray’s 100th goal for the club was enough to clinch another victory – this time over Wolverhampton Wanderers, as Chris Hughton’s men finished the month in 11th place.

Beneath is the shortlist for October's award:

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Arsenal

Anthony Martial

Manchester United

Ross Barkley

Chelsea

Mat Ryan

Brighton

Shane Duffy

Fernandinho

Manchester City

Voting is now open and runs until 8am, on Monday 5th November.
