Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Maty Ryan has been named in Australia’s 26-man squad for a pre-tournament training camp in Turkey ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.
The Albion stopper – who played every minute of Premier League action during his first season with the Seagulls, has been selected by manager Bert Van Marwijk for the camp and the game against Czech Republic on 1st June.
Ryan has been named in the selection alongside Huddersfield Town’s Aaron Mooy, as well as Aston Villa’s Mile Jedinak and QPR’s Massimo Luongo.
Van Marwijk’s side will face France, Denmark and Peru in Group C of this summer’s competition which begins on 14th June.
