In Focus: Florin Andone

Brighton & Hove Albion made their second summer signing on Friday following the arrival of Florin Andone.

The forward put pen to paper on a five-year deal and will officially join the club once the transfer window opens for international transfers on 8th June.

We’ve profiled the club’s latest recruit below:

  • He arrives at Albion after making 69 appearances across two seasons for Deportivo La Coruna, scoring 18 goals.
  • Andone has appeared for four other Spanish clubs: CD Castellon, Villarreal, Atletico Baleares (loan) and Cordoba.
  • He has a total of 21 caps for Romania, including three appearances at the 2016 European Championships.
  • Andone made his senior Romania debut in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Northern Ireland in June 2015, a match which also featured current Seagulls midfielder Oliver Norwood.
  • The Romanian international leaves Spain after making a total of 86 appearances in La Liga, scoring 23 goals.
