Hemed And Kayal Named In Israel Squad

By James Hilsum • 21 May 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion duo Beram Kayal and Tomer Hemed have been named in the latest Israel squad for a forthcoming training camp and friendly against Argentina.

Kayal and Hemed will link up with Elisha Levy’s squad on 29th May ahead of the match, which takes place on Saturday 9th June.

Kayal has 33 caps to his name, the most recent of which came in a 2-1 friendly defeat to Romania in March.

Hemed scored in that match, and has averaged more than a goal every two games for his country, after scoring 16 times in 30 caps.

Israel failed to qualify for this year’s FIFA World Cup Finals in Russia, meaning next month’s match will be the side’s last before they take on Albania in a UEFA Nations League match in September.
