Brighton & Hove Albion travel to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night (8pm) to take on Manchester City in their penultimate game of the season.
The Seagulls secured Premier League safety on Friday night with a 1-0 win over Manchester United, and next up for the side is a trip to the city's other side under the lights in the north-west – we’ve picked out five things to bear in mind ahead of the contest.

The aforementioned victory over Manchester United on Friday night means Chris Hughton’s side will be playing top flight football again next season.
Having reached the 40-point mark with the three points over Jose Mourinho’s men, the Seagulls can now look forward to their final two games of the season against Manchester City and Liverpool safe in the knowledge that they’ll be in the country’s top division again next season.

Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Huddersfield Town was the first time since April 27th 2017 that Manchester City failed to score in a home Premier League game, and it was only the second time this season they have failed to score, after a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace on New Year's Eve.

Albion ended their 1981-82 campaign in 13th position in the Old First Division under Mike Bailey.
With two games left to play of the current Premier League season and the side in 14th position there is still the possibility of a 12th placed finish which would surpass that side’s achievements 36 years ago and make the current crop of players the club’s highest ever finishers.
ON A GOOD RUN
Much was made of the side’s finish to the campaign, with Albion scheduled to face five of the league’s top seven sides in their final group of matches.
But draws with Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley, followed by the win over Manchester United last week mean the side have taken five points from three of those contests so far - the team go into the contest at the Etihad Stadium unbeaten in their last three matches.

Manchester City have made their home ground somewhat of a fortress this season, with their only home league defeat coming at the hands of Manchester United at the start of April as the visitors claimed a dramatic 3-2 win.
