We've Come A Long, Long Way Together

By Alex Stedman • 21 March 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion fans can watch the superb documentary We’ve Come A Long, Long Way Together on Seagulls TV for the first time.

Originally produced alongside Withdean Years, this feature-length documentary tells the story of the club’s 14-year struggle for a new home, including the Yes Yes campaign, the exhausting battle for planning permission and the eventual construction of the Amex.

Narrated by actor Ralph Brown and featuring interviews with Tony Bloom, Martin Perry, Dick Knight and Lord Prescott, We’ve Come A Long, Long Way Together is the authoritative account of the most significant period in the club’s history.

Members of the Falmer For All team also reminisce about the ingenious publicity stunts that helped secure planning permission, including the visit to Downing Street, the seafront marches, the famous giant Valentines card, and even the formation of a political party.

Meanwhile, Withdean Years is also available in full on Seagulls TV now, charting 12 rollercoaster seasons at the club’s temporary home.

A Seagulls TV Monthly Pass costs just £5 per month, and gives you access to live audio commentary, exclusive features, extended highlights, archive matches and much more!
