U23 Preview: Albion V Everton

By Kieran Cleeves • 17 March 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Premier League 2 reigning champions Everton to the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre on Saturday afternoon - kick-off 1pm - as they look to progress to the Premier League Cup quarter-finals.

The Seagulls are ten games unbeaten heading into the match on the south coast, and Simon Rusk’s team are brimming with confidence as they come up against the Toffees, who sit fifth in the Premier League 2 Division 1.

Albion progressed from Group H in second place after twice recording victories over Sunderland and also beating Hull City away from home, but Exeter City topped the group - one point ahead of the Seagulls.

Rusk’s side are flying in the league, most recently sealing an impressive 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough away from home - but his team must now turn their attention back to the Premier League Cup.

Everton also finished second in their group to qualify for the knockout stages, but the Toffees have lost three of their previous four league games, a run which includes a 2-1 loss at Sunderland last weekend.

Albion reached the quarter-finals of the competition last season, before losing to the eventual winners Swansea City in Wales - while Everton failed to make it out of the group stage.

Please note that tickets for this game must be booked in advance (no later than midday today), as there are no ticketing facilities at the training ground. Anyone turning up without a ticket will be refused entry. After this point, tickets will no longer be available for the game.

Tickets can be purchased at seagullstickets.com and via the Albion Booking Line on 0844 327 1901*.

The prices are as follows:

Adults: £5.00
Over-65s: £2.00
Under-16s: £2.00

Please note that Albion season-ticket holders will not be able to gain free access to the match, as this is a cup tie.

Albion supporters can get free parking for today's game at the training ground.
