Izquierdo Nominated Twice For Carling Goal Of The Month Award

By James Hilsum • 02 March 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion winger Jose Izquierdo has two strikes nominated for the Carling Goal of the Month Award for February.

Izquierdo scored two memorable goals last month, after finding the net in Albion’s 3-1 home victory over West Ham United and in the dramatic 1-1 draw away at Stoke City.

The Colombian struck on the hour mark to put Albion 2-1 ahead against the Hammers, as he cut inside off the left and sent an unstoppable dipping strike past Adrian.

He was on the scoresheet again just a week later, as he ended a superb free-flowing move involving Dale Stephens and Solly March to give the Seagulls a 1-0 lead over the Potters.
