Alzate Joins Swindon On Loan

By Alex Stedman • 02 July 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion under-23 forward Steven Alzate has joined Swindon Town on a season-long loan deal.

It is Alzate’s first loan move since arriving at the club last July, and Albion have an option to recall him in January.

Under-23s coach Simon Rusk said, “This is an ideal loan move for Steven to continue the next stage of his development.

“He has performed at a consistent level for us and made a key contribution in helping us to achieve promotion.

“Steven is a promising young player and we will monitor his progress closely. We wish him well for the season ahead.”

The 19-year-old made a total of 23 appearances in all competitions last season, including the Checkatrade Trophy fixtures against Oxford United and Stevenage.

He arrived at the club from Leyton Orient, where he made 12 League Two appearances in 2016/17 before making the switch to the south coast.
