A Brighton & Hove Albion under-21 side have been drawn in Group H for this season’s Checkatrade Trophy, alongside Luton Town, Peterborough United and MK Dons.

Simon Rusk’s team will meet two opponents from Sky Bet League One, while also facing Sky Bet League Two opposition, as they meet MK Dons in the group stage for a second year running.

The Seagulls will travel to Kenilworth Road, London Road and Stadium MK, as they look to progress from the group stage into the knockout rounds, as they managed during the 2016/17 campaign.

Albion were unable to reach the knockout rounds last season, despite claiming a penalty shootout victory over Oxford United, but Rusk’s side reached Round Three in 2017, before exiting the competition to eventual winners Coventry City.

The first set of group stage matches are currently scheduled for the week commencing Monday 3rd September, however confirmed details concerning dates and times will be announced in due course.
