Programme Archive: 2009/10 Season

By Kieran Cleeves • 12 January 2018

Now available on the Programme Archive are the 25 programmes from Brighton & Hove Albion’s 2009/10 season - a campaign which saw the arrival of Gus Poyet at the Withdean Stadium.

After Russell Slade guided the Seagulls to a miraculous escape from relegation the previous season, his team got off to an inconsistent start and it soon spelt the end of the Albion manager’s time in charge.

It paved the way for Gus Poyet to come in and begin the process of turning Albion’s fortunes around, ending in winning the League One title the following campaign.

It was a fairly quiet season on the programme front, with the 23 league issues being supplemented by two FA Cup fixtures at the Withdean.

The programme had a slightly smaller design for the season, but the 52 pages were packed with news and information, including progress articles as the new stadium at Falmer started to really take shape.
