Mandroiu Moves To Bohemians

By Kieran Cleeves • 03 December 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion under-23 midfielder Danny Mandroiu has departed the Seagulls and joined League of Ireland Premier Division side Bohemians for an undisclosed fee.

After spending more than four years on the south coast, the 20-year-old will return to his home nation and compete in Ireland’s highest tier.

Mandroiu made 11 league appearances for Simon Rusk’s team in the Premier League 2 Division 2 last season, as he contributed towards the team’s promotion to the top flight of under-23 football.

The midfielder fired three goals in those matches, while also finding the back of the net in the Checkatrade Trophy against Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

Under-23 coach Simon Rusk said, “I’d like to thank Danny for his contribution during my time working with him and I wish him the best for the future.”

Mandroiu ends his Albion spell with two appearances during the current season, which saw him play 90 minutes against Luton Town in the Checkatrade Trophy and enter the action as a late substitute against Manchester City.
