Tomer Hemed celebrates scoring on his QPR debut at the weekend.

Seven Brighton & Hove Albion players were in loan action across the Bank Holiday weekend, with four facing off against one another in the English Football League.

Tomer Hemed made a goalscoring debut on his first start for QPR having made the season-long move to West London last week, as the striker netted past fellow Albion loanee Christian Walton against Wigan Athletic in a 1-0 win for the home side at Loftus Road.

Percy Tau also found the net for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the side’s 3-0 Belgian Cup win over City Pirates – the forward found the net in the 80th minute before being substituted three minutes later.

In Sky Bet EFL Two, Steven Alzate played just over an hour of Swindon Town’s 1-1 draw away to Forest Green Rovers – with goalkeeper Robert Sanchez also in between the sticks for the home side, in another contest that paired two Seagulls players on opposite sides.

Oliver Norwood also played the entirety of Sheffield United’s 3-0 win away to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, Ales Mateju was part of the Brescia side that played out a 1-1 draw with Perugia in Serie B on Friday a day earlier, and Jordan Maguire-Drew was a second-half substitute in Wrexham’s defeat to Solihull Moors yesterday afternoon.
