PRE-MATCH BRIEF: ALBION V TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

The pre-match brief for Albion v Tottenham Hotspur

Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Amex in the Premier League on Tuesday 17th April, kick-off 7.45pm.
 
This will be Tottenham Hotspur’s first visit to the Amex since the stadium’s opening pre-season friendly on 30th July 2011. The last time the two sides met competitively in Sussex was at the Goldstone back in 1983, where Albion came away with a 2-1 victory.
 
The fixture is also the match dedicated to the club’s charity partner RISE. RISE is Brighton & Hove’s national award-winning domestic abuse charity and will be collecting funds around the stadium ahead of tonight’s match.
 
Travel update
 
All supporters are asked to head to the stadium as early as possible regardless of how they are travelling.
 
Trains: Southern Rail have informed the club that they will be operating a full matchday operation. However, you are advised to check Southern’s website before travelling.

Park & Rides: All three locations at Mill Road, the University of Brighton site at Lewes Road, and Brighton Racecourse will be open from 4.45pm.
 
Car Parks: The Bridge (Car Park B) and Sussex University (Car Park C) have now completely sold out, and there will be no cash sales on the day. Supporters are therefore advised to use public transport wherever possible.
 
All vehicles accredited to park at Sussex University must enter via Stanmer Park, as there will be no entry at Falmer or Knights Gate.
 
Village Way will be extremely busy and congested, and supporters are advised to avoid this area pre- and post-match, unless they have pre-booked parking.
 
Parking: We have no local street parking available to football supporters, as all areas have a residents' parking scheme in operation and enforcement officers will be on patrol.
 
Seagull Travel: Seagull Travel will be running their usual matchday services from various locations, and spaces are available to pre-book via their website.
 
Drop-offs & pick-ups: There will be no pick-ups or drop-offs along Village Way. However, both pre- and post-match, drop-offs and pick-ups are available at Sussex University car park 5 (the Sports Hall car park).
 
This drop-off/pick-up point is a short walk through the underpass to the Amex Stadium. There are also free shuttle buses in operation.
 
Opening and closing times
 
The club shop will open at from 9am and close promptly after the game. The shop is also closed during the match.

The ticket office will open from 9am until half-time. The ticket office will be closed during the second half and post-match.

Dick’s Bar is open from 5pm until kick-off and then after the match until 11pm. Please note this bar is only open to over-18s.

All concourses will open two hours before kick-off at 5.45pm. Post-match all concourses will close at 11pm.

The 1901 Club lounges will open at 5.15pm with HB’s Restaurant and the Goldstone Restaurant also opening at this time.

Fanzone
 
Upon arrival, fans will be greeted by EarthQuake on the Bandstand until 7pm. The outside bar and food outlets will be open from 5pm. The outside bar will close at 7pm.
 
In the Family Stand, the Virtual Reality headsets and the photobooth will be available for fans to enjoy free of charge.
 
Ticket office
 
For this fixture there are a limited number of general admission tickets and lounge access tickets available through the ticket exchange system, where season-ticket holders have listed their tickets for resale.
 
Fans are advised to book these in advance at seagullstickets.com as there are no guarantees of availability.

Please note, any additional seats that get released will only be available to supporters with a purchase history, as the visitors’ ticket allocation has now sold out. Concession prices are not available on seats released via the ticket exchange.
 
Supporters without a ticket that still wish to attend the game are advised to keep checking seagullstickets.com for returns.
 
RISE Charity Collection
 
RISE is Brighton & Hove’s national award-winning domestic abuse charity. They pride themselves on-speaking openly about domestic abuse.
 
RISE chief executive, Jo Gough, said, “Every conversation we have about domestic abuse brings it out into the open and makes it easier and safer to speak out.”
 
RISE volunteers will be doing a bucket collection outside the stadium before the game, wearing distinctive orange hoodies.
 
You can also help spread the word by tweeting ‘Domestic abuse is #everyonesbusiness’ on matchday and you will be entered into a prize draw to win a signed Albion shirt.
 
Seagulls Superstore
 
The Superstore is offering season-ticket holders, Bronze members and Young Seagulls members 10% off everything in store* on Tuesday 17th April only.

*This offer excludes replica home 2017/18 kit.
 
There are also a number of items still on sale in the club shop.
 
The two external retail outlets are situated at the south-east approach T-junction, and north-west corner, stocking a range of souvenirs.
 
Supporters wishing to gets shirts printed are advised this is best done post-match to avoid long waiting times.
 
1901 Club Lounge Dress Code
 
We would like to take this opportunity to remind members that the dress code for the 1901 Club is smart business attire for all guests, male and female.
 
Acceptable attire includes smart jeans, smart boots, clean trainers and canvas shoes. Please note ripped jeans, shorts and flip-flops are not permitted. Hospitality guests dining in either restaurant will still be required to wear shoes; trainers will not be permitted in dining areas.
 
Men must wear a collared shirt or polo shirt. Football shirts, polo-neck and turtleneck sweaters are not acceptable.
 
Only guests aged under 14 may wear Brighton & Hove Albion replica shirts. Away team colours or shirts are not permitted under any circumstances. Please ensure your guests are aware of and adhere to the dress code as entry will not be permitted if they are not dressed accordingly.
