Bruno Reflects On A Big Point

By James Hilsum • 18 April 2018

Brighton & Hove Albion captain Bruno hailed the significance of last night’s draw with Tottenham Hotspur heading into the remaining games of the season.

Albion battled to a hard-earned point against the north Londoners, and Bruno felt the team rose to the challenge posed by their illustrious opponents.

He said, "It's really important, but it's not just about the point. To get a point against a side like that is vital for us in terms of confidence.

"It's really difficult to play against Tottenham with the way that they play and the movement they have.

"Everyone gave 100%. The wingers ran a lot, the midfielders were good on the ball, the centre-backs were strong with the strikers, and the full-backs were working one-on-one against the wingers.

"As a team, we never give up, and that resilience is so important.”

The focus now turns to Burnley a week on Saturday, and the Spaniard insists that the standards cannot slip now.

"What we need now is to keep performing well after a really good performance ahead of a massive game against Burnley.

“We have quite a long week to prepare for it. We need another three points to make sure that we stay up.”

"They have been working so hard [Burnley] and look at where they are - that's what we need to achieve.”
