Win a PE session with a pair of Albion footballers.

Schools across Sussex are being given the chance to win a PE lesson with a pair of Brighton & Hove Albion footballers.

Albion in the Community is offering classes at local primary schools the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to host a PE lesson involving a player from the Seagulls’ Premier League squad and one from the FA Women's Super League 2 team.

All classes have to do to be in with a chance of winning, is take a photograph that best illustrates their support for the Seagulls and what Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club means to their pupils.

It could be a blue-and-white themed class selfie; the pupils spelling out BHAFC on the school field; or a photograph of an Albion-themed classroom display. The more creative the better.

The competition celebrates AITC’s ongoing work with local schools. The charity worked with 129 schools across Sussex last year, delivering after school clubs, healthy eating programmes and football-themed numeracy and literacy work.

AITC also provides PE support to a growing number of primary schools. In fact, more than 50 local teachers benefited from working with AITC last year, with the charity’s qualified staff helping teachers improve their confidence and competence to deliver PE.

Paul Williams, the charity’s schools manager, said, “We are delighted to be able to offer this exciting opportunity to local schools and are really looking forward to seeing the innovative and imaginative ways in which schools are using Brighton & Hove Albion to inspire their pupils.

“We’ve seen our PE support programme have a hugely-positive impact on pupils, teachers and schools across Sussex and look forward to working with many more schools over the coming year.”

Any school that wishes to enter must submit a photograph (a JPEG image at least 1MB) that best illustrates a class’s support for the Seagulls.

Entries must be submitted by Friday 13th October via email to: with the subject heading: AITC Schools Competition.

The player visit will be arranged between the winning school and AITC at a time convenient to all parties before the end of the academic year.
