The Albion v Newcastle United pre-match brief.

Brighton & Hove Albion take on Newcastle United at the Amex this Sunday, kick-off 4pm.

Following the disappointment of a tightly-contested fixture against AFC Bournemouth last Friday evening in the Premier League, Albion will be hoping to return to winning ways against Rafael Benitez's side.

The Magpies come into the match off the back of three consecutive wins and sit in fourth spot in the Premier League.
Travel update
Trains: Southern Rail have informed the club they are running a full matchday service. However, due to engineering works on the line between Littlehampton and Brighton, this section of line will be closed and Southern are running a bus replacement service.
We advise all supporters travelling by train to check Southern’s website before beginning their journey.
Contingency Shuttle Service: The club has arranged a park/walk-up shuttle service with Sainsbury’s at West Hove. However, all parking spaces have now been booked, and we have limited walk-up bus seats available.

Park & Rides: Mill Road, Brighton University at Lewes Road and Brighton Racecourse will be open at 1pm.
Car Parks: All near-site parking for this Saturday’s fixture has now sold out. All spaces at both Car Park B (the Bridge) and Car Park C (University of Sussex) have completely sold out – and there will be NO pay-on-the-day option.
All vehicles entering Sussex University must do so via Stanmer Park, as there will be no entry at Falmer or Knights Gate.
Drop-offs & pick-ups after the match: There will be no pick-ups or drop-offs along Village Way. Car park 5 at Sussex University by the Sports Hall is being utilised to enable fans to be dropped off and picked up before and after the match. This drop-off/pick-up point is a short walk through the underpass to the Amex stadium.
Seagull Travel: Additional buses and spaces are available to pre-book through Albion's official travel partner, Seagull Travel. Seagull Travel collects from over 120 pick-up locations covering East and West Sussex as well as locations across Hampshire, Kent and Surrey. For a full list of pick-up locations please visit

Opening and closing times
The club shop will open at 11am and closes at 7pm. The shop is also closed during the match. The outside retail units are open from 2.30pm and close on kick-off.
The ticket office is open from 11am until half-time. The ticket office will reopen after the match until 6.30pm.
Dick’s Bar is open from 1pm until kick-off, then after the match until 8.30pm. Please note this bar is only open to over-18s.
All concourses will open at 2pm – two hours before kick-off. Post-match all concourses will close at 7.30pm.
The 1901 Club lounges will open at 1.30pm, with HB’s Restaurant and the Goldstone Restaurant also opening at this time.
The Harvey’s Lounge, Hendy Lounge, Chandlers BMW Lounge, Sussex Skills Solutions Lounge, Mansell McTaggart Lounge, Heineken Lounge, Rivervale Lounge and South stand boxes will close at 7.30pm.
HB’s Restaurant and the Goldstone Restaurant will close at 8pm.
The Mayo Wynne Baxter Lounge, italk Lounge and West stand boxes will close at 8pm.

In the Fanzone
Upon arrival fans will be greeted by Morgan M-James on the bandstand. The outside bars and food outlets will be open from 1.30pm and the football shooting inflatable located opposite the stadium superstore.
Ticket office
At the time of writing 150 tickets were still available to purchase. It is expected these will sell out before the match and none will be available on the day of the match. Visit to purchase.
Tickets are also expected to sell out for the visit of Everton in the coming weeks, with other upcoming fixtures likely to follow suit. Fans are advised to purchase tickets for all upcoming matches online to avoid long queues on matchday.
Seagulls superstore
Due to the record sales of the Premier League home shirt, the club are awaiting a replenishment of several sizes. Please check the availability of stock online at, before visiting on matchday.

Away and goalkeeper kit is also in high demand, and supporters wishing to gets shirts printed are advised this is best done post-match to avoid long waiting times.
The two new club retail outlets, situated at the south-east approach T-junction and north-west corner will be open, stocking a range of souvenirs. Both units accept cash payments but only the T-junction unit will be accepting card payments.

1901 Club

Lounges Dress Code
We would like to take this opportunity to remind members that the dress code for the 1901 Club is smart business attire for all guests, male and female.
Acceptable attire includes smart jeans, smart boots, clean trainers and canvas shoes. Please note ripped jeans, shorts and flip flops are not permitted. Hospitality guests dining in either restaurant will still be required to wear shoes; trainers will not be permitted in dining areas.

Men must wear a collared shirt or polo shirt. Football shirts, polo-neck and turtleneck sweaters are not acceptable. Only guests aged under 14 may wear Brighton & Hove Albion replica shirts. Away team colours or shirts are not permitted in any circumstances.

Please ensure your guests are aware of and adhere to the dress code as entry will not be permitted if they are not dressed accordingly.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to re-seat 1901 Club members or their guests in general admission areas of the stadium if refused admission to the 1901 Club.
