Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s return to Premier League 2 Division 2 action this evening, when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns, kick-off 7pm.

Just two days after Chris Hughton’s first team overcame the Baggies 3-1 at the Amex, Simon Rusk’s under-23 side travel to the West Midlands in search of their third league victory of the season.

After beginning the season with back-to-back league victories over Norwich City and Fulham, defeats to Reading at the Amex and MK Dons in the Checkatrade Trophy have followed.

The Seagulls occupy fifth position in the league, after collecting six points from their opening three games, while the Baggies sit bottom after losing all three of their opening fixtures.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all secured victories over James Shan’s team, who will be looking to bounce back against the Seagulls on home soil.

West Brom sealed a narrow 1-0 win against Albion at the Hawthorns last season, but Rusk’s team returned the favour in the reverse fixture, as James Tilley and Tom Dallison scored in a 2-1 triumph.

Albion supporters can follow a live text commentary on the Match Centre this evening, and a match report will be published after the game.

ALBION squad: Collings (GK), McGill (GK), Cox, Moore, Mateju, Barker, Kerr, Hall, Hutchinson, Sanders, Collar, Mandroiu, Ajiboye, Tilley, Ahannach, Bjordal.
