Brighton & Hove Albion winger Anthony Knockaert praised the squad’s determination to get all three points in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Knockaert believes the result will give the squad a real confidence boost ahead of two crucial upcoming games against Bournemouth and Newcastle United.

He said, “We feel very good and very happy because it was the first win of the season.

“When you believe you can win games and you play with your heart, that’s what happens and we’ve been magnificent in everything.
“We gave our life and in each ball we tried everything we could to take three points and finally, we have them.
“The group was really happy after the first goal of the season and I think it took some weight off our shoulders.

“We believed more and more after that and we are really happy that we scored three as well, which is really good for us and our fans.”

The Frenchman also explained how much he is enjoying getting a second chance in the Premier League, following his brief spell in the top flight with Leicester City.

“Its really good to be back in the Premier League, because I didn’t have the opportunity to play much at Leicester and show what I could do.

“But I have confidence from the manager here, and I’ll show him I can give everything and help the team as much as I can.

“We also have good quality in this group and we are confident for the next few games.”
