Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s welcome Middlesbrough to the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in the Premier League 2 Division 2 this afternoon, kick-off 1pm.

First-team players Sam Baldock, Beram Kayal and Jiri Skalak are all expected to feature for the Seagulls, as Simon Rusk returns from his Pro License course to the Albion dugout.

Despite a high-pressured second-half performance from Albion against Blackburn Rovers on Monday evening, they had to settle for a point after equalising either side of half-time in a 2-2 draw.

Kayal found the back of the net from 25 yards to cancel out Joe Nuttall’s opening goal, before James Tilley cancelled out the striker’s second after the break.

Middlesbrough are the early pacesetters in the Premier League 2 Division 2, as they occupy top spot with six wins from seven games, while Albion sit further down in eighth position.

However, Boro’s winning run of six games came to an end last time out, as Reading raced into a 3-0 lead before eventually winning the game 4-3 in the north east.

The Seagulls are without a victory in five league games, after opening the season with back-to-back wins, and Rusk’s team will be hoping to force a positive result before visiting Southampton at the end of the month.

Please note that tickets for the game are no longer available and anyone turning up without a ticket will be refused entry.

Albion supporters attending the game can get free parking at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre.
