U23 PREVIEW: ALBION V BLACKBURN

Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s return to Premier League 2 Division 2 action this evening, as they welcome Blackburn Rovers to the Amex, kick-off 7pm.

First-team players Beram Kayal and Sam Baldock are both expected to feature for the Seagulls, as the pair step up their recoveries from injury with their first taste of action in months.

Albion are without a win in their last four league games, but Simon Rusk’s side recorded an impressive penalty shootout victory over Oxford United in the Checkatrade Trophy before the international break.

Albion occupy ninth position in the Premier League 2 Division 2, while this evening’s opponents sit second in the table, after picking up four victories from their opening six games.

Rovers overcame Fulham with a 4-0 victory at home on their last outing, while Albion were narrowly beaten 1-0 against Aston Villa in the West Midlands, despite a promising performance.

Albion supporters can still secure their tickets for tonight’s game, with the game priced at £5 for adults, £2 for under-16s/over-65s. and free for season-ticket holders.
