Albion in the Community won the Best Football Community Scheme Award at the Football Business Awards.

Albion in the Community made it an historic THIRD successive Best Football Community Scheme Award at the Football Business Awards.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s charitable arm saw off competition from Burnley, Everton, Manchester City and Watford in the category.

Albion in the Community chairman Martin Perry said, “It’s a real acknowledgement and testament to all of our hard work put in by the team and recognition of the positive impact on all the beneficiaries of our huge range of programmes.”

The judges commended Albion’s scheme and also their impressive entry - which included a special video showcasing the work done by Albion in the Community.

Sarah McAdam, Phil Baldwin, Martin Perry, Matt Dorn and Paul Williams collected the award on behalf of the club at the gala awards night.

Other winners on the night included Piglet’s Pantry, who scooped the Best Business Serving Football Award.

Albion were also shortlisted for Best Marketing Initiative.
