Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-18s ended their Premier League South campaign with a 2-2 draw away at Swansea City on Saturday.
A late strike from Archie Davies earned the Seagulls a share of the spoils in South Wales, after Cameron Berry’s brace cancelled out Daniel Mandroiu’s opener.
Despite the hosts making the livelier start, it was Albion that took the lead in the 11th minute through Mandroiu, who latched onto Luis Garcia’s pass and fired home beyond the Swans goalkeeper.
Mael Davies almost found an equaliser for the Swans on the stroke of half -time, but was denied thanks to a fine save from Tom McGill.

Swansea found their equaliser on the hour mark when a free- kick from Rydian Williams was cleared only as far as Berry on the edge of the area, who fired in an equaliser.
Davies came close to getting a second Swansea goal, but his header rebounded off the foot of the post.
Berry did find the net for Swansea in the 73rd minute when he latched onto a cross from Davies flicked the ball past McGill.
But the Seagulls earned a share of the spoils in the second minute of stoppage time when Davies scored with a close-range finish from Garcia’s corner.
A goalmouth scramble ended when Tyrese Fornah’s shot was saved by Alex Lang, before Davies fired home the rebound.
Ian Buckman’s side will now enter the final stage of the competition in a group comprised of Leicester City, Newcastle United, Southampton, Sunderland, Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Seagulls will begin the next phase with a match away at Southampton on Saturday.
