Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-18s had an afternoon to forget, after they were beaten 13-0 by Chelsea at Cobham on Saturday.
Charlie Brown scored four goals, Martell Taylor-Crossdale and Luke McCormick scored hat-tricks, while Conor Gallagher, Cole Dasilva, Harvey St Clair also scored a goal each.
Gallagher broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when he exchanged one-twos with both Taylor-Crossdale and then St Clair, before firing his shot past Albion goalkeeper Tom McGill.
Taylor-Crossdale got his first goal with a close-range finish at the near post, before latching onto St Clair’s through ball to get his second and Chelsea’s third with just under half an hour played.
Luke McCormick made it 4-0 from the penalty spot in the 36th minute, before St Clair got in on the act himself three minutes later with a powerful strike into the bottom-left corner.

Dasilva made it 6-0 three minutes after the re-start with a deflected strike, before Taylor-Crossdale fired home from St Clair’s cross to make it 7-0 with 55 minutes on the clock.
McCormick scored Chelsea’s eighth goal from the penalty spot after Jon Panzo went down in the box, before Brown scored his first two goals with two close-range finishes to take the scoreline into double figures.
McCormick completed his own hat-trick with a tap in following a goalmouth scramble, before Brown got his third and fourth goals of the game with two close-range finishes to make the final score 13-0 to Chelsea.
