The Albion winger made a goalscoring return to international action.
Brighton & Hove Albion winger Solly March was delighted to score on his return to the England under-21 squad on Monday night and is a targeting a seat on the plane for this summer’s European Championship finals in Poland.
March found the net with a stunning strike to break the deadlock in a 4-0 friendly victory over Denmark, capping off a memorable return to the international scene.
He said, “I didn’t think I’d get a call-up to be honest, so I’m happy to get my chance to play.
“We have no more friendlies, so I’m happy to stake a claim with that goal and performance, and hopefully I can get there [to the finals].
“It’s exciting; most of the same lads are still here and I’ve fitted straight back in. It’s been a good camp to be involved in, I’ve had a good week and I’m excited ahead of the summer.”

The 22-year-old is happy with the fierce battle for places within the England squad, and says a place in this summer’s squad combined with promotion to the Premier League with Brighton would be the perfect double.
“We’re second at the moment and hopefully it’s our year.
“It would be the icing on the cake if we can win promotion and I go to the Euros – that’s the aim.”
