Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has paid tribute to departing goalkeeper David Stockdale.
Stockdale has joined Birmingham City on a free transfer, ending a hugely successful three-year spell with Albion.
Hughton said, "Firstly, and most importantly, I would like to thank David Stockdale for his immense contribution over the past three seasons.
"He has been the stand-out goalkeeper in the Championship, and was a key member of our side as we went so close in 2016 and when we won promotion last season.
"There were some truly remarkable and very memorable moments, not least those three vital penalty saves last season against Fulham, Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday - all of which will live long in the memory for us all.
"I have a lot of time for David, not just for what he achieved on the pitch here, but also with his contribution to the club, community and particularly around the time of the Shoreham air crash. I wish him all the very best for the future."
Chairman Tony Bloom also paid tribute, adding, "David will always be warmly remembered for being a significant part in one of Brighton & Hove Albion’s most-memorable seasons ever.
"On behalf of all Albion fans, I would like to thank him for his efforts over the past three years, and wish him well for the future."
