Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton has thanked Sebastian Pocognoli for his efforts last season, and wished the Belgium international well following his move to Standard Liege.
Left-back Pocognoli has agreed a return to his home club, for whom he played between 2009 and 2013, once his current contract at West Bromwich Albion ends on 30th June.
Albion boss Hughton said, "Seb was a great addition for us last season, having joined on loan from West Bromwich Albion. He was excellent for us across the season and I know he enjoyed the experience with us.
“Seb was an absolute pleasure to work with and he was yet another key member of the squad that clinched our promotion.
"I am pleased he has confirmed his future and joined Liege, and on behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank him for his efforts during his time with us and wish him all the very best for the season ahead and into the future."

Pocognoli played 22 times for Albion last season, including one appearance in the EFL Trophy, and scored once - a memorable free kick in the 2-1 win at Queens Park Rangers as Albion edged closer to promotion.
