The Albion under-18 midfielder has been recognised for his terrific long-range strike.
Brighton & Hove Albion under-18 midfielder Luis Garcia has been nominated for the 2016/17 League Football Education Goal of the Season Award.
The six-goal shortlist is comprised of each Goal of the Month award winner from across the Under-18 Academy League season, with Garcia being recognised for his ambitious strike against West Bromwich Albion.
On a positive afternoon for the Seagulls, which ended in a 7-1 victory for Ian Buckman’s side, the Spaniard found the back of the net with an audacious lob, after picking up the ball inside his own half.
Garcia faces competition from five other contenders - Claudio Ofosu (Stevenage), Stephen Akbas (Hull City), Ryan Giles (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Anthony Hartigan (AFC Wimbledon) and Ronan Hale (Birmingham City).
Voting will remain open until 5pm on Wednesday 14th June. You can vote for Garcia’s brilliant effort via the LFE’s online poll or via Twitter using the hashtag #LFEGOALF.
