Two of Albion's players have featured for their countries.

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Shane Duffy made his first appearance since fracturing his metatarsal against Nottingham Forest in March, as he played 90 minutes for the Republic of Ireland.

The 25-year-old returned to the heart of Ireland’s defence, however Duffy’s nation were beaten by Mexico at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, as they lost 3-1 in an international friendly.

Duffy looked to have halved the deficit when the scores were 2-0, but the defender’s 44th-minute strike was ruled out for offside.

Ireland return to action on Saturday 4th June and Duffy will be looking to build on his latest performance, as they welcome Uruguay to the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Elsewhere, Oliver Norwood also featured for 90 minutes against New Zealand, as Northern Ireland claimed a narrow 1-0 victory at Windsor Park in Belfast.

The midfielder's team have now kept clean sheets in back-to-back games, following their 2-0 win against Norway in March - when Norwood also played the entire game.
