Albion's crest will appear on the Premier League's official website today.
Brighton & Hove Albion will officially be confirmed as a Premier League club today, as the season changes from 2016/17 to 2017/18 at the league’s Annual General Meeting.
After the three relegated clubs - Hull City, Middlesbrough and Sunderland - hand back their share certificates - a document that grants Premier League status - the Seagulls will be formally welcomed and receive a framed share certificate of their own.
The Premier League website - www.premierleague.com - will feature Albion as a top-flight club, with the club crest appearing among the list of Premier League teams, and the league table will be updated to announce their arrival.
A club overview will also be available on the site, while the club’s Twitter handle @OfficialBHAFC will be followed by @premierleague, ahead of Albion’s debut season which gets underway in August.
The reality of Albion’s achievement will sink in further on Wednesday 14th June at 9am, when the Premier League fixtures are revealed to the top 20 clubs in English football.
