Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s visit the Enclosed Ground for a pre-season fixture against National League South side Whitehawk this evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

Simon Rusk’s team were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Celtic in their last game, and will be looking to record their first victory of pre-season, before games against Shoreham and AFC Bournemouth.

A first-half strike from Danny Mills, who no longer plays for the Hawks, was the difference last summer's friendly, when Albion were edged out 1-0 in a friendly before their Premier League 2 Division 2 campaign got underway.

A few familiar faces could line up against the Seagulls this evening, with former Albion defender Dan Harding and youngsters Tom Cadman and Connor Tighe all playing for the club this season.

A number of Rusk’s under-23 side collected valuable game time playing for the first team in two friendlies yesterday; a behind-closed-doors match at the training ground and a fixture against Southend United at Roots Hall.

New signing Mathias Antonsen Normann could make his first appearance for the Seagulls, after the midfielder signed from Norwegian second division side FK Bodo/Glimt last week.

Supporters can follow a live text blog on this evening and read a match report that will be published after the game.
