Brighton & Hove Albion will look to continue their winning run in pre-season when they take on Southend United at Roots Hall this evening, kick-off 7.45pm.
After sealing a 6-0 victory over League Two opponents Crawley Town on Saturday, Chris Hughton’s team will come up against League One opposition in the form of the Shrimpers, who narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season.
Hughton’s Premier League newboys opened their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf in Austria, with Jamie Murphy and Tomer Hemed getting their names on the scoresheet.
Solly March found the back of the net early on against Crawley Town, before Pascal Gross, Hemed and Murphy added further goals before the break. Connor Goldson and Glenn Murray then added further goals to inflict a 6-0 defeat on their opponents.
Anthony Knockaert and Sam Baldock are Albion’s only absentees through injury, but Hughton has included a number of under-23 players in the squad that travels to Essex.
Seagulls TV subscribers can watch a live stream of the game via their laptops or by using the Android version of the Albion App in the Google Play store (this feature will soon be available on the Apple version of the app).
Tickets for this evening’s game can be purchased on the gate at Roots Hall, and tickets are priced as follows:
Adult (22-59) - £12
Senior (60+) - £8
Young Adult (17-21) - £8
