UNDER-23S FACE FOREST TONIGHT

23 January 2017

Simon Rusk's side are in Premier League Cup action tonight.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s will look to secure their Premier League Cup qualification, when they play Nottingham Forest at the Impact Arena in Alfreton this evening, kick-off 7pm.

The Seagulls currently occupy top position in Group E after winning all three of their games so far, and victory against the Reds will ensure their place in the last 16 of the competition.

Liam Rosenior has travelled with the squad and should make his third appearance for the under-23s, as he continues to build his fitness after returning from an ankle injury.

Simon Rusk’s side recorded their biggest win of the season when Jack Lester’s team visited the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in October's reverse fixture, as the Seagulls secured an emphatic 7-0 victory.

Albion sealed a 3-0 triumph over West Ham United in the Premier League 2 (Division 2) last Monday, with 16-year-old striker Aaron Connolly scoring a brace on his under-23 debut, and he is set to be involved again tonight.

You can follow live updates from the game on Albion’s Twitter handle (@OfficialBHAFC) and a match report will be published on seagulls.co.uk.

ALBION (squad from): Sanchez (GK), Vose (GK), Rosenior, Hornby-Forbes, Cox, Barker, Hall, White, O’Sullivan, Molumby, Hutchinson, Starkey, Mandroiu, Garcia, Bjordal, Connolly.
