HUGHTON AND STOCKDALE NOMINATED FOR SKY BET AWARDS

The duo have been shortlisted for the December awards.


Brighton & Hove Albion manager Chris Hughton and goalkeeper David Stockdale, have been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Manager and Player of the Month Awards for December respectively.
 

Albion enjoyed a stellar month after four wins from five games, including the last-gasp 2-1 victory away at Birmingham and the comfortable 3-0 win over Queens Park Rangers on 27th December.
 
Stockdale has also been recognised for his fine form throughout the festive period after a string of impressive displays, following clean sheets in the games against Cardiff City, Leeds United and QPR.

Hughton will face competition for the award from Slavisa Jokanovic [Fulham], Garry Monk [Leeds United] and David Wagner [Huddersfield Town].

  Meanwhile, Stockdale has been shortlisted alongside Dave Edwards [Wolverhampton Wanderers], Dwight Gayle [Newcastle United] and Sam Winnall [Barnsley].
 
The judging panel for both awards comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League pundit Don Goodman;, EFL marketing director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet football trading manager Paul Lowery.
