Simon Rusk has bolstered his attacking ranks.

Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the loan signing of striker Harry Cardwell from Reading until the end of the season on undisclosed terms.

The 20-year-old has appeared 11 times for Reading’s under-23 side in Premier League 2 and the Checkatrade Trophy this season.

The Scotland under-21 international has enjoyed loan spells with National League sides Braintree Town and Woking in recent years, and will link up with Simon Rusk’s under-23 squad.

Rusk said, “I’m delighted Harry has joined the under-23 squad for the remainder of the season, and  he’ll add good competition to what we’ve already got in forward areas.

“He’s coming into a fantastic club and will join a hard-working group of players that have given me everything this season so far, and I’m sure Harry will be another positive addition to the squad."
