STOCKDALE NOMINATED FOR PFA FANS' AWARD

The Albion shot-stopper has been recognised for his impressive performances in January.


Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper David Stockdale has been shortlisted for the Championship PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for January.

 
The Albion shot-stopper put in a string of impressive displays throughout the month, and saved two penalties in the dramatic 2-1 wins over Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.
 
Stockdale will compete with Tammy Abraham [Bristol City], Timm Klose [Norwich City] and Yann Kermorgant [Reading] for the award.

The shortlist was chosen by a panel that included Sky Sports pundits, Paul Merson and Peter Beagrie; Mike Riley, general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials; and Malcolm Clarke, chairman of the Football Supporters’ Federation.

One voting fan in each division will win the chance to meet and present the award to each PFA’ Fans’ Player of the Month.

Voting for the Championship award closes at 7pm tonight and the winner will be announced at 10am on Wednesday.
