Chris Wood, Glenn Murray and Ashley Barnes celebrating goals during the 2010/11 campaign.

This afternoon’s game sees Brighton & Hove Albion’s 2010/11 strike force reunited at the Amex, as Glenn Murray comes up against Burnley pairing Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood.

Wood and Murray left the Seagulls after the League One championship-winning campaign at the Withdean Stadium, while Barnes played out another two-and-a-half seasons on the south coast.

Of course, Murray returned in 2016 on loan from Bournemouth before re-signing for the club permanently at the start of 2017 - and today could see the trio back on the pitch together, but with divided intentions.

Their goals fired the Seagulls to winning the League One title under Gus Poyet, with 48 league goals between them - over half the total accumulated by the team throughout the campaign.

In all competitions, Murray led the way with 22 goals, Barnes hit the back of the net on 20 occasions, while Wood chipped in with nine strikes during his loan spell from West Bromwich Albion.

The trio have managed 11 goals between them in the Premier League this season, with Murray leading the stats again on five goals, while Wood and Barnes have scored four and two respectively.
