Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s have found out their opponents in the Premier League Cup group stages, after the draw was made earlier this afternoon.

Albion were drawn alongside Sunderland and Hull City in Group H, while the winners of the qualifying tie between Dagenham & Redbridge and Exeter will also compete in the group.

A total of 32 category one and two clubs have automatically qualified for the main group stage, while the winners of a qualifying knockout stage between category three and four clubs will also take part.

In the current format, Albion will play a total of six matches home and away in the group stages, before contesting potential one-off ties in the last 16, quarter finals, semi finals and final.

If the knockout ties are level after 90 minutes, they will go to extra-time and then penalties if the teams still can't be separated.

The Seagulls can field a maximum of three overage outfield players and a goalkeeper born before 1st January 1994.

Blackburn Rovers, Southampton, Watford, Cardiff City

Group C
Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City, AFC Bournemouth/Wigan Athletic, Bury/Bristol Rovers

Group D
Swansea City, Newcastle United, Burnley, Colchester United

Group E
West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Ipswich Town

Group F
Everton, Leicester City, Portsmouth/ Southend United, Barnsley

Group G
Stoke City, Liverpool, Charlton Athletic, Bristol City

Group H
Sunderland, Brighton & Hove Albion, Dagenham & Redbridge/Exeter City, Hull City
