Albion briefly turn their attentions away from the Premier League tomorrow, as they welcome League Two side Barnet to the Amex, for a Carabao Cup second-round tie.


Fans are advised that free matchday travel is only included for league fixtures and fans travelling to the game via public transport will need to purchase a ticket to travel from the relevant transport provider.
The club will also publish updated information if and when it becomes available.


The club has been informed by Southern Rail that there will be a limited number of additional trains running to Falmer on Tuesday both pre- and post-match. We advise everyone travelling by train to check Southern’s website before travelling.


Parking is still available for this Tuesday’s fixture in both Car Park B (the Bridge) and Car Park C (University of Sussex). Fans are advised to book this in advance at

Park & Rides

There will be no Park & Ride sites in operation for this fixture.

Drop-offs & pick-ups after the match

Please note there will be no pick-ups or drop-offs along Village Way.

As per last season’s procedures, the club will be opening car park 5 (within Car Park C) at the University of Sussex, by the sports hall, to enable fans to be dropped off and picked up before and after the match.

Please note that all vehicles entering the University of Sussex must enter via Stanmer Park, as there will be no entry at Knights Gate.

Opening and closing times

The club shop will open pre-match and closes at 10.30pm. The shop is closed during the match. The outside retail units will be closed for this fixture.

The ticket office is open pre-match and through until half-time. The ticket office will not reopen after the match for this fixture.

Dick’s Bar is open from 5pm until kick-off, then after the match until 10.30pm. Please note this bar is only open to over-18s.

All concourses will open at 6.15pm and will close at 10.30pm.

The italk Lounge, Mayo Wynne Baxter Lounge, Chandlers BMW lounge and Rivervale Lounge will open at 5.45pm. All other lounges will be closed for this fixture. Full details of these relocations can be found in the 1901 Club section of the pre-match brief. Post-match, the lounges will close at 10.30pm.

Please note that HB’s Restaurant and The Goldstone Restaurant will be closed for this fixture.

In the Fanzone

The fish and chip unit is the only facility in the Fanzone that will be open for this fixture.

Ticket office

Tickets are available for this fixture on the day of the match.

Season-ticket holders are advised that cup fixtures are not included in your package and you will need to purchase a ticket should you wish to attend. You season-ticket card will not gain you access to the stadium.

1901 Club members will be able to gain access with their usual smartcard and lanyard.

1901 Club

Due to the lower attendance at past Carabao Cup fixtures, some lounges within the 1901 Club will be closed for the visit of Barnet on Tuesday 22nd August.

The italk Lounge, Chandlers BMW Lounge, Mayo Wynne Baxter Lounge and Rivervale Lounge will open at 5.45pm. All other lounges will be closed for this fixture. Members of these lounges have been relocated for this fixture to the following lounges.

Members of Harvey's Brewery Lounge, Hendy Lounge and Mansell McTaggart Lounge will have access to the italk Lounge.

Members of the Heineken Lounge and Sussex Skills Lounge have been relocated to the Mayo Wynne Baxter Lounge.

HB's Restaurant and The Goldstone Restaurant will be closed for this fixture. 1901 Club members with season hospitality packages are advised that cup fixtures are not included within your package.

Post-match, the lounges will close at 10.30pm.

Members who are relocated for this fixture will be able to gain access with their usual smartcard and lanyard. Heineken Lounge members will be allocated a seat on arrival in the West Stand by 1901 Club staff.

The usual dress code policy for 1901 Club members applies for this fixture.

Lounges Dress Code

We would like to take this opportunity to remind members that the dress code for the 1901 Club is smart business attire for all guests, male and female.

Acceptable attire includes smart jeans, smart boots, clean trainers and canvas shoes. Please note ripped jeans, shorts and flip flops are not permitted. Hospitality guests dining in either restaurant will still be required to wear shoes; trainers will not be permitted in dining areas.

Men must wear a collared shirt or polo shirt. Football shirts, polo-neck and turtleneck sweaters are not acceptable. Only guests aged under 14 may wear Brighton & Hove Albion replica shirts. Away team colours or shirts are not permitted in any circumstances.

Please ensure your guests are aware of and adhere to the dress code as entry will not be permitted if they are not dressed accordingly.

Unfortunately, we will be unable to re-seat 1901 Club members or their guests in general admission areas of the stadium if refused admission to the 1901 Club.
