Brighton & Hove Albion welcome the 2014 and 2016 Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid to the Amex today, as their pre-season campaign concludes at the Amex, kick-off 4pm.

Diego Simeone’s team travel to England after winning the Audi Cup in midweek, following a victory over Napoli and a penalty shoot-out triumph against Liverpool in the final.

Both teams are unbeaten during pre-season, with the Seagulls recording wins over Fortuna Dusseldorf, Crawley Town and Southend United, before back-to-back draws against Norwich City and Girona.

Anthony Knockaert (ankle) and Sam Baldock (calf) are the only expected absentees for Chris Hughton’s Premier League newcomers, with a number of new signings in line to make their Amex debut.

Mathew Ryan, Pascal Gross, Markus Suttner and Izzy Brown are all available to feature for the Seagulls, however Glenn Murray will miss the match through suspension, after being sent off against Girona in Spain.

For the La Liga side, Saul Niguez has rejoined his team-mates after an extended pre-season break, and could feature alongside the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres and Koke.

Atletico will be the third Spanish team to visit the Amex, with Albion recording a 1-0 victory over Sevilla in 2015, following a 3-1 defeat to Villarreal in 2013.
