DUFFY NAMED IN IRELAND SQUAD

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Shane Duffy has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for their two upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Serbia.
 
Martin O’Neill’s side face Georgia at the Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi on Saturday 2nd September, kick-off 5pm, before hosting Serbia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin three days later, kick-off 7.45pm.
 
Ireland sit second in Group D of their European qualification group with 12 points from six games to date, level on points with leaders Serbia.
 
Duffy has ten international caps to his name, and played the full 90 minutes in Ireland’s previous qualifier against Austria, a 1-1 draw back in June.
