SEAGULLS WEARING BLUE AND WHITE

13 April 2017

The team will wear the home kit for the final five games of the season.

Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed they will be wearing their trademark blue-and-white stripes for the crucial final five games of the season, and have urged supporters to follow suit as part of the We Can Do This... #Together campaign.

The Seagulls need seven points from their matches against Wolves, Wigan, Norwich, Bristol City and Aston Villa as they bid to secure promotion to the Premier League - and the club wants fans to sport the club colours with pride at all five matches and throughout the season run-in.

Albion manager Chris Hughton commented, "The support we've had all season has been exceptional, both at the Amex and on the road, and that backing has been vital for the team to get into the position we are now in.

"Nothing has been achieved at this stage, and now more than ever, we need the fans' backing. Our allocation for Wolves sold out and a capacity home crowd expected on Monday for the visit of Wigan, and I'm certain the fans will play their part just as they did at QPR last week."

Meanwhile, the club has seen a remarkable show of support across the city and further afield since the launch of the We Can Do This... #Together campaign a little over a week ago.

Albion fans across the globe are sporting the stripes, while others have decorated their houses and cars - and many have taken to social media to post picture messages showing their support.

Businesses across the city have also added their backing; Sussex and Brighton universities joined forces to create a special video of support from students and staff; and Brighton & Hove City councillors donned shirts and scarves ahead of last week's council meeting to show their backing for the Albion.

Hughton added, "This club has a unique togetherness and we have the full support of so many within the city of Brighton & Hove and the county of Sussex. Everywhere you go at the moment it's blue and white, and it is great to know that we have that level of support behind us."
