ALBION OFFER INNOVATIVE TICKETING SERVICE TO DISABLED FANS

3 April 2017

The service will be in place for the final five games of the season.

Brighton & Hove Albion have made an exciting new development on seagullstickets.com, allowing disabled supporters to purchase online with a personal assistant.

All supporters who have registered with the club for personal assistant tickets and have up-to-date DLA/PIP documentation, can now book for home and away league and cup matches online, avoiding the need to call the Albion Booking Line.

The Sky Bet Championship club have harnessed the functionality within their SRO ticketing software, provided by TopTix Sport, in order to ensure all supporters are able to purchase the tickets and personal assistant seats they are entitled to, including wheelchair users and ambulant disabled supporters.

Online booking users can simply select the tickets they require, and the system will immediately validate that the seat users are eligible for the chosen prices.

Unlike other similar online booking processes, non-disabled supporters can log on and purchase tickets for their eligible friends and family, simply by assigning the selected seats to the appropriate recipient.

Albion are one of the first football clubs in the EFL to offer disabled supporters a fully automated online booking system, making it easier than ever for all supporters to book tickets and experience the excellent access facilities at the American Express Community Stadium.

This service is available for the final five league games of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic, Norwich City, Bristol City and Aston Villa.

Albion’s ticket operations manager, Brian Kearney, said: "The access facilities at the American Express Community Stadium are exceptional, so it's important that we ensure the whole experience of enjoying a match here meets the same high standards, starting with the booking process.

“We have been able to use the flexible existing functionality of our ticketing software to offer supporters the relevant prices, seats and a dedicated online booking help page when they make their purchase, and believe that this system will make a real difference to our supporters with access needs."

Peter Joyce, managing director of TopTix Sport said: "The flexible rules engine within our SRO ticketing software means Brighton & Hove Albion have been able to set out their strategy, and configure the disabled ticketing solution within the core software without the need for bespoke development work.

"Brighton & Hove Albion are always pushing the boundaries within their IT solutions to offer the best customer experience possible, and we have been delighted to work with the club to help deliver this valuable facility to their supporters."
