Graham Potter praised his side's 'incredible effort' after their 1-1 draw at Burnley.

Graham Potter was happy to take a hard-earned point at Turf Moor to round off a 'fantastic' week for Albion.

Lewis Dunk scored his third goal of the season but Johann Gudmundsson levelled for the Clarets in the second half.

But after beating Spurs and Liverpool, seven points from three games in six days kept Albion 15th in the table and 11 clear of the bottom three.

“It is an incredible effort from the players. Burnley put us under a lot of pressure in the second half and we could have gone under, but it's another point at the end of a fantastic week and we are happy with that.

“Burnley pushed us all the way and I can't say we deserved more than a point. We had some control in the first half, but Burnley stepped up so I'm proud of the boys, we dug in when we weren't at our best.

“Since the turn of the year we have picked up points consistently. You can't play well in every game but I think it's important that when you’re not at your max you pick up something and we have done that.”

Potter singled out goalkeeper Rob Sanchez who made some good saves and showed excellent handling in difficult conditions.

“Rob is getting better and better, which is what you are looking for. The more he plays the more you expect from him. He made some outstanding saves and had to deal with a lot of balls in the box, so I was really pleased for him.”

Adam Webster will need further assessment after coming off with an ankle injury while Potter confirmed that Solly March will need surgery on the knee injury he picked up in the win at Liverpool.

“Solly's injury is a big blow for him and us and we wish him well in his recovery. It's too early to say for certain about Adam but it doesn't look too bad.”
